Download the question template
Start in the question bank and download the Excel import template. Use the template supplied by Pracxa rather than making a new spreadsheet with your own column names. The workbook helps you enter the fields the importer expects. Keep a separate copy of your original questions so you can check the imported content against your source later.
Prepare a small sample first
Fill in a few questions before uploading a large question bank. Choose supported question types and check the question text, answer choices, correct answers, marks and difficulty. Use the section and direction names available to your institute. Questions that share a passage need the correct direction. Do not assume every question type uses the same answer format; follow the workbook instructions for the type you select.
Upload and read the row errors
Upload the workbook and review the result. The importer reports rows that need attention, such as missing fields or invalid values. Some rows may have been saved even when other rows failed. Check the result before retrying: uploading the whole file again without checking can create unwanted duplicates. Fix the reported rows and confirm what needs to be uploaded again.
Check the questions in Pracxa
Open the imported questions and compare them with your source. Check symbols, answer order, section assignments and marks. Preview a small exam using the imported content before assigning it to candidates. An import that finishes without errors still needs a content check by someone who understands the subject. Once the sample looks right, use the same process for the remaining questions. You can also export the question bank as an Excel file when you need a downloadable copy.
